Sunday 1 March 2015

Today we interviewed a 42 year old churi wala (bangle vendor) who was born on 1st January 1967 and lives near Jama Mazjid. His earlier generations i.e. his grand mother and father were engaged in the same business but as for him, he wants his children to break away from this tradition and follow their dreams. He's the father of 2 sons and one daughter who are all currently studying. He wants to educate his children so they become independent and are able to make a name for themselves.
Initially glass bangles were a major sell out in the market but as time went by metal bangles came into existence and took over the market and the sales went up each passing day.
Ironically bangles are known to bring about happiness and colour in one's life but after digging deep we got to know that there's a dark side to it too.
